Between "Email Acknowledgment" in Web-to-Lead form (or Web-to-Contact), and the "Auto Response Rules for Web to Lead", if you need send different auto emails to your customer who "Submit" the web form, then you need use "Auto Response Rules for Web to Lead", because it will give you the chance to set the condition and send correct email.
