Just a quick note: What to do if Converting a Lead when Company Name already exists in Account in Zoho CRM.
If the lead has a company name which already exists in an Account, it will ask you the option to overwrite or to create a new one.


If the lead has a first name and last name which already exist in a Contact, it won't ask you any options, will convert it. It assumes that we can have same first name and last name in the real world.
